As I begin to prepare for the loss of one of my own beloved furry family members -
and I know oh too well what's to come - I have started to try to properly "prepare". In my first research I found this from the founder of Peternity Colleen Keating Mihelich
I also am going to reach out to our own Claire Chew who is the Alchemist for Transforming Loss for her advice, wisdom and guidance. This one, this furry soul sister, is going to be the hardest yet I think -
I am dreading this part - to even begin to say "YES" to that part of her journey has elluded me - we're not quite there, yet...and so I begin, again, never properly or fully prepared for what I know is to come, that hurt, that pain, that agony and profound grief - but this is the reason I'm here with Peternity. This is not unique to me - all of us whom have loved will experience this and every time our heart cries out I know there are thousands upon thousands who hear and relate. I hope that through the work we do to support grieving pet owners we help take a little bit of the bite out of this for others as I know all too well how dreadful this responsibility is.
